Persona User (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Persona User[edit]
Sorcerous Origin
I am thou, Thou art I. A Persona is a manifestation of one's darker self that they have accepted, revealed or been awakened to. They typically take the form of mythological or historical figures, but they may also take the form of fictional characters. While most personas are human, some are animals, and theoretically one could even have an inanimate object as a persona. A persona may go rogue if it is denied or hidden by the user.
Persona Template[edit]
Personas will be created on demand. Here is the template, you can create it for yourself or you can tell me it's identity and I'll create it for you. Submit them on the talk page before adding it to the actual page plz.
1st level,[edit]
Resistance to 1-3 damage types, vulnerability to one less than the number of resistances. If you have resistance to a damage type from one of the following sets, you must have vulnerability to one from that set or one with a lower number as well. This applies to the lowest-set resistance. The resistances and weakness should fit with your persona.
Sets are as follows:
- Set 1 Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slashing damage.
- Set 2 Cold, Fire, Poison and Necrotic damage.
- Set 3 Lightning, Force, and Radiant damage.
- Set 4 Psychic, Acid, and Thunder damage.
Also first level, Persona weapon[edit]
Starting at 1st level, you gain a magical weapon. It can be summoned or dismissed as a bonus action. If it has the Light property, you gain 2 of it. It has the Soulbound property, meaning you can use your charisma modifier for attack and damage rolls with it. Also, you are proficient with it.
Expanded spell list[edit]
One spell of each level from 1-5. You know these spells and always have them known and prepared. They don't count against your maximum spells known. The spells should fit with your persona.
6th level, proficiency in Wisdom saves[edit]
It's universal.
14th level, any[edit]
Any feature appropriate for 14th level may be a 14th level feature.
18th level, ultimate persona[edit]
Your persona's identity changes, and you gain 5 new spells on your expanded spell list- one of each level 1 through 5. Also, you can change one resistance you have into an immunity, give yourself a new resistance, or remove a vulnerability. You may also upgrade an immunity into an Absorbancy (You regain hit points equal to half the damage you would have taken) or a Reflection (The attacker takes the damage you would have taken, even if they are resistant or immune to the damage). You may do this three times.
