This spell transforms part of a creature you see within range into the equivalent part of a beast of your choice. You can region of a creature’s body, choosing the Head, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, Right Leg, Torso, Tail, Genitalia or Extraneous (additional limbs such as wings). An unwilling creature can make a constitution saving throw to prevent the transformation, and if you target a creature’s head, it can choose to make a Wisdom saving throw instead. This spell ends at the beginning of your turn after concentration is lost against an unwilling target, and has no effect on a shapechanger or a creature with 0 hit points.
A limb that takes a new form is unable to hold objects or perform somatic components for spells. Transformed genitalia is fully functional. Anything held by this limb drops to the ground. This limb is a natural weapon that the target has proficiency with, which can be used to make an unarmed strike that deals 1d4 slashing, piercing or bludgeoning damage (dependant on form). A limb using a shield cannot be used to perform natural weapon attacks but retains the benefits of using a shield.
If the creature’s head is transformed to a non-humanoid species, it is unable to speak or cast spells with a verbal component. If the chosen form has horns or can perform a bite attack, the creature has proficiency with this unarmed strike, which deals 1d6 slashing, piercing or bludgeoning damage (dependant on form).
The target’s worn gear on the chosen limb or head partially melds into the new form. The target can’t activate or use any of the equipment, but will otherwise benefit form their basic properties or ongoing effects. This spell doesn't affect the target’s hair, eye or any distinguishing features, such as scars or tattoos.
All transformed parts of the body gain new physical stats that align with the new form. If concentration is lost it can be regained if the effect has not begun to unravel, if it has the process must complete before a new transformation can be performed.
