Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement)

Made using magic or advanced technology, this bracelet is a customizable multipurpose tool with various diagnostic, manufacturing, and combat uses. When in use, a translucent glowing gauntlet covers your non-dominant arm, which displays relevant information in a color you choose. The Omni-tool can be controlled by gesturing with the same hand or by using the other hand to interact with the options displayed on the gauntlet. While you are alive and wearing the Omni-tool, it cannot be removed from you against your will. The Omni-tool also is able to be used as a spellshard with the equivalent storage of 5,000 pages. This storage can be upgraded if necessary, requiring 1 hour of work and 50 GP of materials per each additional 5,000 pages of space. This allows the Omni-tool to save still images, sound, and video, with a still image taking up 1 page, sound taking up 10 pages per minute, and video taking up 1,800 pages per minute. When information is stored in this way, it can be encrypted. Encrypted data can only be accessed by the creature that originally stored it or those they allow to access it, even if the Omni-tool is attuned to a different creature.

If attuned by an artificer, the Omni-tool acts as a +3 All-Purpose tool and can be used in place of thieves' tools. If attuned by a creature that is not an artificer, it can be used in place of thieves' tools and any set of artisans tools, but does not grant the other benefits of an All-Purpose Tool. When crafting non-magical items, one or more items with a total cost of less than 50 GP can be crafted as an action, assuming that the required materials are within reach. If the attuned creature is not an artificer, it cannot use this feature to create items that ordinarily require a high degree of craftsmanship, such as jewelry, weapons, glass, or armor, unless they have proficiency with the type of artisan's tools used to craft such objects.

Multipurpose Tool. As part of a short rest, you can store a spellbook or any casting focus that you can use in the Omni-tool. There is no limit to the number of foci the Omni-tool can contain, but it can only contain one of each item at a time. While the Omni-tool is worn, you receive the benefits of the stored items as if they were held in your hand(s). Any properties of a stored item that would change its form or require the user to make a melee or ranged attack with the item cannot be used while the item is stored in the Omni-tool. If a stored item breaks (such as when the last charge of some wands are used) whatever remains of the item falls from Omni-tool. Stored items can be removed by the user as an action. If one or more stored items require attunement, the Omni-tool and the stored item(s) count as a single magic item with regard to the number of magic items you can attune to.

The Omni-tool can be used to cast mending and mage armor at will. If you have the Spellcasting class feature, you can program the Omni-tool to channel spells for you. While attuned to the Omni-tool, you can select up to 2 spells from from your class list(s) of each spell level you can cast. These spells are always prepared and do not count against the number of spells you know or can prepare. The selected spells can be swapped with other spells that you can cast of the same level as part of a long rest.

Omni-Blade. Whenever you take the Attack action, the Omni-blade can quickly fabricate a thin blade made of heated silicon. This blade is a simple melee weapon with the light and finesse properties. On a hit, it deals piercing damage equal to 1d4 and fire damage equal to 1d4. The blade vanishes immediately after the final attack has been made. This blade has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it and is considered magical for overcoming resistances. When you make a melee spell attack, you can channel the spell through the Omni-blade, dealing its attack damage plus the damage of the spell.

Medi-Gel. The Omni-tool can contain up to 12 units of Medi-gel. It regains all expended Medi-gel daily at dawn. You can expend 1 or more unit of Medi-gel to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spellcasting ability modifier (or Intelligence modifier if you aren't a spellcaster) and the normal casting time of the spell: spare the dying (1 charge), aid (2 charges), cure wounds (2 charges), false life (2 charges), healing word (2 charges), lesser restoration (2 charges), mass healing word (6 charges), revivify (6 charges), greater restoration (10 charges), mass cure wounds (10 charges), or heal (12 charges). As a bonus action, you can expend one spell slot and gain units of Medi-gel equal to twice the slot's level, up to the maximum number of units.

If you are an artificer of at least 11th level, when you finish a long rest, you can empower the Omni-tool to produce and contain more Medi-gel in place of making a Spell-Storing Item. The Omni-tool gains additional units of Medi-gel equal to twice your Intelligence modifier until your next long rest.

Comms Unit. Omni-tools can be used to communicate over great distances. The Omni-tool has a small amount of dedicated storage to keep track of contacts, allowing others with Omni-tools to be identified, prioritized, or blocked as needed. Your Omni-tool can send a message to any other Omni-tool in the form of text, audio, or video. Audio and video can be sent as prerecorded messages or can allow conversations in real time. The Omni-tool can send messages across any distance and even to other planes of existence, but if the target is on a different plane, there is a 5 percent chance that the message doesn't arrive.

Shield Generator. Absorb elements and shield are always prepared and do not count against the number of spells you know or can prepare.

If you are a wizard of the school of abjuration, the Omni-tool's Shield Generator enhances your Arcane Ward. While your Arcane Ward is active, it has a hit point maximum of four times your wizard level + twice your Intelligence modifier (minimum 25). Whenever you cast an abjuration spell of 1st level or higher, the ward regains a number of hit points equal to four times the level of the spell. Every minute you haven't taken damage, the ward regains 5 hit points, up to its maximum hit points.

If you are not a wizard of the school of abjuration, the Omni-tool's Shield Generator creates an Arcane Ward with a hit point maximum of 25. Every minute you haven't taken damage, the ward regains 5 hit points, up to its maximum hit points.

If you are an artificer of at least 11th level, when you finish a long rest, you can empower the Shield Generator in place of making a Spell-Storing Item. Until your next long rest, the Shield Generator will constantly generate a shield, increasing your AC by 5. For the duration, you cannot cast shield as a Reaction, as it is already active.

The Shield Generator can be improved up to 3 times. Each improvement increases the Arcane Ward's hit point maximum by 5 and is considered a rare magic item for crafting purposes.
