Ninjas of Ice Book: The Art of Fridjitzu (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Book, artifact
A manual created by an ancient elemental king of ice. This manual documents the field training needed to turn anyone into a veritable assassin of snowstorms and avalanches. It was created from the sheer admiration of the eastern warriors who hide in shadow, and its pages were tainted with the mad magic that seeks to succumb all to the frozen cold. After taking 10 minutes to read this book, the reader gains access to the features below:
Ice Ninja Implements The reader may use the fabricate spell, with limitless ice to work with as the material for the spell, to create caltrops and weaponry as a bonus action at will until the next dawn, without expending spell slots. All weaponry created this way are constructed from ice and thus break upon the first successful hit. The weapons made in this manner have the properties and damage die as if they were made from their usual material, and the reader is always proficient in using them.
- Caltrops made by this feature can also be thrown after exclaiming: "Caltrop Hailstorm!" and will affect a 15-ft cone where the reader unleashes it. Anyone caught in this area takes 1d4 piercing damage, as well as the usual effects of caltrops.
Snow Blind The reader may cast misty step at will until the next dawn, without expending spell slots.
Fake Make The reader may cast mirror image at will until the next dawn, without expending spell slots.
Deflect Projectiles The reader can use their reaction to deflect or catch the missile when they are hit by a ranged weapon attack. When they do so, the damage they take from the attack is reduced by 1d6 + their Dexterity modifier + their proficiency bonus. This feature may be used 3 times per day.
Destroying the Ninjas of Ice Book: The Art of Fridjitzu. This book may be destroyed by throwing it in an exceptionally persistent source of heat such as a volcano or a forge with an eternal flame.
