Mystic Eyes of Death Perception (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Wondrous item, legendary (major tier) (requires attunement)

The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are a type of Mystic Eyes that are considered to be such a rarity that they are thought not to exist at all. They show the death of things, the weak point where everything is most easily broken, and the imperfection in everything that will break down one day. You can choose if you want to keep the eyes main ability on and off. Which is the ability to see death lines.

Once the holder attunes the eyes to them, the eyes merge with the holders original eyes with the whites of the eye becoming a light blue a color. The iris of the eyes become purplish pink color with dark blue pupils.

You gain a +3 bonus on Intimidation, Perception, and Performance checks while attuned to the eyes.

Death Lines. Anything with an origin must have an end, a "time of death" determined at the beginning. The eyes can ignore this clause, instead allowing them to kill even that which is immune to all external effects. With this ability you bypass all resistances and immunities when you go for an attack roll.

Feeling of Death recharges every 2 turns. Your eyes are the eyes of death. Activate this ability by using a bonus action you can induce the feeling of death on to one creature you can see. They must succeed a DC 22 + your Charisma mod. On a failure they are driven to temporary madness for up to 2-3 hours. They have disadvantage on attack rolls and are frightened of you. On a successful roll you are only frightened and have disadvantage on attack rolls.

Death Points. Points of Death are from where all lines seem to flow, resembling blood vessels. There can be a number of them on an object, and, whereas the lines are "where things die easily", the points are death itself.

The number of death points corresponds to the creature size

Tiny:5

Small:8

Medium:10

Large:15

HUGE:20

Gargantuan:25

Death's clutches: After successfully hitting 5 death points, you can choose to make the target have succeed a DC 18 + your Strength modifier. They must succeed the Constitution saving throw roll. Or on a failure, the target is knocked prone and unconscious. On a successful save the target is only knocked prone.

Ultimate Ability: Death Severance: If you can sever 10 points of death on a creature, they are reduced to 1/4 their remaining hit points. Death points are severed by hitting the opponent with melee or magical attacks on different parts of their body. You do this by making a perception check(DC of 18) before your attack action.

Once the user activates the ultimate ability(i.e., ΒΌ Hp ability), the target can only heal up to 50% of their max health for the next 10 turns.
