Krakatoa (5e Equipment)

Weapon (broadsword), very rare (requires attunement) The volcanic steel crackles as it is held, as if it is still being forged. Inside the width of the blade rests several small streams of lava, frozen in time. You have a +1 to attack rolls with Krakatoa, and deal an extra 2d4 fire damage on a hit. As an action, you may cause Krakatoa to erupt with energy. A 5 foot wide, 60 foot long line of lava erupts from the blade for the next minute. Anything that enters or starts their turn within the lava must make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 5d8 fire damage. This ends prematurely if you don't take an action at the start of your turn to continue, or if you use a bonus action to stop it. As part of the action to maintain this, you can move the beam up to 90 degrees. You can do this once, and the item regains this use at dawn.
