Historically, katana were one of the traditionally made Japanese sword that were used by the samurai of feudal Japan. The katana is characterized by its distinctive appearance: a curved, slender, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. With the Miyamoto Musashi (4e Feat), you can wield a Katana as if it was a one-handed weapon, however it's proficiency bonus drops from +3 to +2. In addition, for the purpose of meeting prerequisites, the Katana qualifies as a short sword and longsword when you have this feat. It is also utilized by the Martial Fighting Style Kenjutsu (4e Feat).
