9th-level Evocation | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | Self (120-foot cone) |
Components: | V, S, M (A lump of brimstone, a dragon's tooth) |
Duration: | Concentration, up to 1 minute |
You conjure the flames of a dragon of legend, which billow outward into a 120-foot cone. Any creature caught in the cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The cone persists between turns, though you must use an action on your turn to sustain it. When you do so, you may reposition the cone. Any creature caught within the path of the cone's movement is also subjected to the damage of the spell.
The fire spreads around corners, and any flammable object in the area that is not being worn or carried is reduced to ashes.
