Greatsword of Judgement (5e Equipment)

Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement)

A ceremonial sword, held in Pontiff Sulyvahn's left hand, representing the judgement of the moon, but with magic far closer to sorcery than any existing lunar power. Its dark blue hues, deeper than the darkest moon, reflect sorcerer Sulyvahn's true nature.

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. If attuned to the profaned greatsword, then attuning to this weapon does not take an attunement slot. If you are attuned to both weapons, you may dual wield both without penalty and as if you had the Two Weapon Fighting fighting style.
This greatsword has 4 charges and regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dusk.

  • Crescent Wave. For 2 charges, when you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks with a wave of dark, sorcerous magic in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d8 force damage on a failed save, or half was much on a success. After using this feature the blade becomes wreathed in magic for 1 minute until you use a bonus action to nullify the effect or until you drop or sheathe the greatsword. For the duration, when you hit with an attack using this weapon, the target takes an extra 1d8 force damage.
  • Crescent Thrust. For 1 charge, when you take the Attack action, you can replace one of your attacks to thrust the greatsword forward 10 feet, momentarily engulfing it in magic. On a hit, the target takes an additional 1d8 force damage.
