Glowing Mario

Welcome to the wonder of the Glowing Mario universe, an adventure setting derived from the world's largest game series. Adventures await around every corner, as the world is not yet fully civilized. Beware however, powerful beasts and tribes prowl just beyond the reach of towns, and the world is besieged constantly by great warlords and supernatural powers. Heroes such as Glowing Mario and Glowing Luigi commonly deal with these threats, but they are not always around (rad-karting and deathclaw egg tennis are common reasons). It's a good thing other adventurers can help to pick up the slack.

There are three options to how the player characters function within the setting. The first is that they were adventurers within the base DND 5e setting who discovered a mystical warp pipe and traveled to this world, known as Foreigners. The second is that they were always denizens of this world, known as Natives. The third is by far the most common one. Someone from the world often referred to here as Fallout found a warp pipe and travelled here. These are known as the Wastelanders. These are often found in Mirelurk swamps or unusually large raider camps. Any way, assume all mechanical features within the base 5e setting are included here, unless directly contrasted with others mentioned within these pages. The exception being race, as only humans can be either a Native, a Foreigner, OR a Wastelander due to their presence within both the Super Mario and Fallout universes.

Campaign Setting Information

Players Guide Classes Classes are largely the same as within 5e, with some additional features and reflavoring to match the setting if the character is a Native. Fallout Classes Now let’s get to the Wasteland characters. Native Races The Native Races of the Super Mario world, humans included. Fallout Races The Races from the Fallout world you can play as. Equipment The various gear, powerups, and other equipment within the world. These are usable even to Foreigners and Wastelanders. Clothing Weapons Gear and Tools Powerups and Consumables Badges Fallout Equipment Guns, chems, Power Armor, etc. Feats Additional feats for the Super Mario universe, some available only to Natives and others also allowed to Foreigners. Spells & Magic Additional spellcasting possibilities and spells from 5e that are changed or not available within this setting.

World of Super Mario Factions and Settings Information on the geographical, political, and societal factors for various factions within the Super Mario universe, some of which within the normal Super Mario world and others far beyond. Cosmology A more in-depth look at the cosmos and other dimensions throughout the Super Mario universe. Religion The various gods and cosmic beings within the setting.

Dungeon Master's Guide Bestiary The many creatures and minions sprawling about the world and beyond. NPCs Various peoples and individuals that populate the setting. Magic Items Non-unique magical items available in the setting. Artifacts Special magical items and other unique treasures available in the setting. Variant Rules Additional mechanical rules added to the Super Mario universe, some of which applying to only Natives and some to Foreigners as well.
