Gedula, Lord of the South[edit]
Medium celestial, neutral good Armor Class 25 (natural armor)
Saving Throws +24 Strength, +24 Constitution, +24 Wisdom, +24 Intelligence Legendary Resistance (5/Day). If Gedula fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead. Magic Resistance. Gedula has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Siege Monster. Gedula deals double damage to objects and structures. Magical Attacks. Gedula's attacks are magical. ACTIONSMultiattack. Gedula makes five attacks with his blade of fire. Blade of Fire. Melee Spell Attack: +24 to hit, reach 20 feet. Hit: 210 (22d20) fire or piercing damage. Creatures in range must also succeed a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or become burning. Creatures that are burning count as being half as far for the sake of this action's range. Barrier of the Four Kings. While within 30 ft. of Ate, Ve, and Markt, any creatures of his choice within a 60 ft. radius take 2d6 radiant damage or regain 2d6 hit points, and the area is covered in bright light for 1 hour (concentration).
LEGENDARY ACTIONSThe Gedula can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Gedula regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn. Heal. One creature within 100 feet regains 210 (20d20) hit points. Blade of Fire. Gedula uses his blade of fire. Environmental Manipulation. Gedula covers a 20 foot radius, 200 foot tall cylinder within 200 ft. of him in fire or removes the fire in said area permanently. Creatures that enter or end their turn in such an area must attempt a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) fire damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. |
The Blessed King of the South, brilliance greater than everlasting flame is thy majesty, Gedula rules the plane of Manala with harsh indifference. He is among the harder of the four kings to entreat help from, though all four kings are overall benevolent. Those who would threaten him often meet a quick end. |
