Empress Lakambi, born Anaconona Chuitl Lakambi, was a matriarch of Khaire from 6,892-6,940 AP. She was less known for her reign and more for her personal life as a woman obsessed with beauty. Her obsession drove her to seek a forbidden ritual known as the Magic of Shed Skin from old scriptures by the bygone Cult of the Serpent. This ritual's preparation was rumoredly grisly, but there is a lack of evidence implicating the Empress directly. There was, however, a strange series of disappearances of young women that plagued Khaire's countryside from 6,948 AP to 6,950 AP, after her nephew Olukun succeeded her as emperor. The ritual was believed to be incomplete and she died old and wrinkly. However |
