Elemental Armor (5e Spell)

You cover yourself with a layer of elemental energy that shields you from incoming attacks. Choose one damage type when you cast this spell: acid, fire, cold, necrotic, radiant, or lightning. You gain 5 temporary hit points when you cast this spell. If a creature hits you with a melee attack while this spell is active, that creature takes 5 damage of your chosen damage type. The temporary hit points granted by this spell are lost when the spell ends. When you have no temporary hit points, the spell ends early.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the temporary hit points granted by this spell and the damage dealt by this spell both increase by 5 for every spell level above 1st.
