Egan-Shiloga'Troh, the Swarmmother[edit]

Egan-Shiloga'Troh, also simply called Egan, is considered one of the primary origins of the Uncreated. While Egan has no real sexual identifiers, the endless reproductive ability has most people default to calling Egan a mother of abominations ("she").
Rituals[edit]
Being the swarmmother, Egan's rituals usually revolve around defiled themes of fertility and life. With the power of Egan, horrible monstrosities of the flesh can be created and even controlled. To supply sacrifices for many of these rituals, cultists of the Uncreated actively seek to females of various humanoid races.

While Egan does not require typical nourishment, sacrifices are offered to the horrific Uncreated deity by cults scattered throughout [[Grisaire (5e Campaign Setting}|Grisaire]]. Rituals in Egan's name require more specific components than that of the other two of the Uncreated Trinity. At least two humanoid creatures must be offered alive onto the altar and at least one of them must be a creature able to bear children. More creatures can be sacrificed at a time. The Egan's influence reaches out to feed on the sacrifices, slowly merging the flesh of all the sacrifices into one single horrible product. The result is a fleshy mass that is no longer discernible for what it once was. These are called Eganth'Urohg-le, meaning "true spawn of Egan."

One of the more disturbing rituals of Egan involves impaling a virgin alive on a tree that has been prepared with the runes of the Uncreated, carved and soaked in blood. Over the course of three days, the virgin's flesh will burgeon and grow into flabby masses that cover the tree and become one with it as it swells in size. The result is a huge abomination that resembles a dark-fleshed, tough sinew creature that stands stationary where the tree is. From the cavities of the roots spawn milky white creatures known as fingertip stalkers. From the branches that are like fingers grow fetid fruits that mature into elder things.
