Deadrock (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Deadrock[edit]
Medium dragon, neutral Armor Class 14 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Str +5, Con +6 Polymorph Susceptibility. The deadrock automatically fails saving throws made against the polymorph spell and similar magic. If the deadrock's polymorphed form is reduced to 0 hit points, it dies. ACTIONSSlam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d10 + 3) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be pushed 10 feet away from the deadrock. Stone Form. The deadrock's body turns to stone. While in stone form, the deadrock can't move or take actions and it is immune to all damage except psychic, thunder, magical bludgeoning damage, and bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from adamantine attacks. The deadrock can leave its stone form as a bonus action. REACTIONSAssume Stone Form. In response to taking damage, the deadrock assumes its Stone Form, potentially negating damage. |
These territorial lizards are known for their brutal hunting method involving shoving creatures off of Death Mountain and coming to collect their bodies later. Sometimes deadrocks can hibernate for extended periods of time in their stone form ending up in boulders. |
