Corrupted Titan Relic[edit]
The Corrupted Titan Relic is an ancient artifact of a Galactic Titan, tainted by Voidblight. While its original purpose was to channel the pure essence of a Titan's power, the corruption has turned it into a source of instability and danger. These relics are often found in the ruins of long-forgotten temples or astral sanctuaries, pulsating with ominous energy.
Effects[edit]
- Void Pulse: At the start of each round, creatures within 30 feet of the relic must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 necrotic damage and be pushed 10 feet away.
- Warped Influence: A creature that touches the relic must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or fall under its influence, becoming hostile to all non-corrupted creatures. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until the creature is incapacitated.
- Radiant Instability: If the relic takes radiant damage, it emits a volatile explosion. All creatures within 20 feet must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 force damage and be knocked prone.
- Voidblight Infection: Any creature that takes necrotic damage from the relic must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become infected with Voidblight. Symptoms manifest within 24 hours unless cured.
Countermeasures[edit]
The relic can only be purified by:
- A greater restoration spell cast at 6th level or higher.
- A Titan Purification Ritual performed by someone with knowledge of the Titans' rites.
- Direct exposure to an artifact of an uncorrupted Titan (e.g., the Trident of the Tidal Shaper).
If left unchecked, the relic spreads Voidblight corruption to its surroundings, creating a Astral Fracture within 24 hours.
Optional Encounter[edit]
When the relic is purified, a Void Elemental (CR 8–10) or several Corrupted Astral Constructs (CR 4 each) emerge to protect their tainted prize.
