Burning coals arise from the ground in a 20-foot square starting from a point within range. Any creature that starts their turn within the area, or uses an action or bonus action other than the Dash action while within the area, must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 2d6 fire damage on a failed save, and half as much on a successful one. A prone creature takes twice as much damage from this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd-Level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
