Bow of the Black Archer (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Weapon (Longbow), Artifact (requires attunement by an Elf of non-Drow lineage) A black longbow belonging to the Elven deity Shevarash before it was taken from his corpse by the Drow. It was designed to be the ultimate weapon of assassination, arrows loosed are nigh invisible during flight and not even its string makes a sound when released. If a Drow Character, or Character of Drow Ancestry (such as a Half-Drow), attempts to attune to the Bow of the Black Archer, they must succeed a DC 30 Wisdom Saving Throw or take 42 (12d6) Psychic Damage, or half as much damage on a success, as Shevarash’s angered screams enter their mind. On a failed save, the Bow of the Black Archer fades into shadow, banishing itself from the creature’s grasp and into the farthest reaches of the Shadowfell, the Plane of Shadow While attuned to this bow, you have normal and magical darkvision out to 320 feet. Additionally, the bow fills your head with whispers of revenge against the Drow. If a Drow comes within 320 feet, the whispers grow louder, and you are magically able to discern the location of any and all Drow within that Range. The Bow of the Black Archer is a +3 magic weapon. You have +3 bonus to attack, and damage rolls you make with this weapon. The damage die for this weapon are 2d6 and if you beat the targets ac by 5 or more, you deal an additional 2d6 magical piercing damage. If not supplied with an arrow, the bow will spawn its own arrow out of black energy. The first attack made each turn has twice its normal and long range. While you are hidden or invisible, as a bonus action, you can make a DC 25 Stealth check. If you succeed, attacks you make this round do not end your invisibility or reveal your position if they otherwise would. If you fail, you can choose not to make attacks this round. |
