Anti-Mage Tower (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Staff, legendary (major) (requires attunement by a spellcaster) This thick staff is made out of a single black stone with strange, spiraling runes carved along its length that act as a grip. The staff seems to have been created by the magic of the highest order, yet it despises those very forces. You can wield this staff as a +2 quarterstaff. Whenever you attack a creature with the Innate Spellcasting or Spellcasting traits with the staff, you may add their spellcasting modifier to your attack and damage rolls. You cannot use the staff as a spellcasting focus. The staff has 10 charges for the following properties. It regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, you lose the ability to cast any spell except cantrips for 1 hour. As an action, you may expend a spell slot without casting a spell and the staff regains expended charges equal to the level of the spell slot. Antimagic Shield. When you take damage from a spell or other magical effect, you can use your reaction to expend 1 charge and gain resistance to all magical damage until the start of your next turn. Antimagic Spells. You can use an action to expend the requisite number of charges to cast one of the following spells from the staff without material components, using your spellcasting ability score: antimagic field (8 charges), circle of power (5 charges), dispel magic (3 charges), greater restoration (5 charges), nondetection (3 charges), or remove curse (3 charges). Antimagic Strike. When you make an attack against a creature concentrating on a spell with this staff, you can expend 1 charge to gain advantage on the attack and if you damage the creature, that creature has disadvantage on the saving throw it makes to maintain its concentration. |
