Weapon (spear), rare (requires attunement)

When no creature is attuned to this weapon, it is an unassuming spear attached to a 10-foot coil of rope. When a creature attunes to the weapon, the spear and rope merge into a finely crafted willow wood harpoon, with a viper inlaid in jade down the shaft and a thinly woven chain resembling snake scales. The harpoon can be used as a simple spear.
This magic weapon has 5 charges. When you hit with this weapon, you can choose one of the following effects and expend a number of charges to cause it to occur. This spear regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn.
Envenom (1 Charge). The target must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Constrict (2 Charges). If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained, and you can't make attacks with this weapon against other targets.
Poison Strike (3 Charges). The target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 2d6 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A poisoned target takes an additional 1d6 poison damage.
