Scales.png This page is of questionable balance. Reason: Spending extra time to boost a spell is not a 5e thing

Weight of 1000 Years
1st-level Divination (ritual)
Casting time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous

You close your eyes and focus on the Vortex of Time condensing the memories of the past millennia into a single thought. When you open your eyes you gesture above the target and then snap your hand down as all these thoughts and memories are solidified and is forced upon the target, hitting it with agonizing mental anguish. The target takes 2d8 psychic damage, and must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Optionally, you can increase the cast time of this spell to cast across multiple consecutive turns, using your action on each turn to further condense and empower this spell. The number of consecutive turns you can spend concentrating on this spell cannot exceed your proficiency bonus. For each additional action you spend casting this spell after the first, the psychic damage increases by 1d8.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage for both sources increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
