Black Snow (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
1st-level Evocation | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | Self (10-foot sphere) |
Components: | V, S, M (a small vial of acid and some snow or ice) |
Duration: | Instantaneous |
You create a sphere of black-colored snow that is laced with acid in a 10-foot sphere centered on you. Any creature (except the caster) that is within the sphere must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 2d6 damage (types specified below) and has its speed reduced by 10 feet until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the damage is halved and the target's speed is unaffected.
The total damage dealt is divided in two, with one half being cold damage, and the other half being acid. Should the total damage be an odd amount, the player may decide where to place the additional point.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
