A popo appears as a writhing mass of thick tentacles of contrasting colors, usually comprising blue and orange. Despite being only a couple feet in diameter, one of these tentacle masses is remarkably aggressive. Although it is omnivorous, it will favor attacking and attempting to devour anything that moves too close. A popo has been known to restrain small animals or children, then use the acids expunged by its body to digest the restrained creature while it yet lives.

Popos can reproduce either asexually or sexually. In certain regions, especially the Dark World, popos are known to reproduce rapidly. If there is one, there are almost always many more nearby.
