However, the wrecktangle's design prevents you from using both its full offensive and defensive capabilities simultaneously. While you wield it as a two-handed weapon, you only benefit from half of its AC bonus as a shield. While you wield it as a one-handed shield, it grants its full AC bonus, but deals only 1d4 slashing damage as an improvised weapon.
