Weapon Master, 2nd Variant
You have practiced extensively with a variety of weapons, gaining the following benefits:
- Choose two families of weapons (as seen on the table below). You become proficient in the weapons you have chosen.
- When you use a weapon you are not proficient with, you can add half of your proficiency bonus (rounded down) to attack rolls made with that weapon.
Weapon Family | Weapons |

Axes | battleaxes, handaxes and greataxes |
Blades | daggers, greatswords, longswords, rapiers, scimitars, shortswords and sickles |
Bows | longbows and shortbows |
Clubs | clubs, flails, greatclubs, quarterstaffs, maces and morningstars |
Crossbows | hand crossbows, heavy crossbows and light crossbows |
Hammers | mauls, light hammers, warhammers, and war picks |
Polearms | glaives, halberds, javelins, lances, pikes, spears and tridents |
Thrown | daggers, darts, handaxes, and nets |
