A vibroknife resembled a dagger or fighting knife with a high-tech look and a balanced feel. It consisted of the same basic design as other vibroweapons: the weapon's hilt or handle usually contained a compact ultrasonic vibration generator, causing the blade to vibrate at an incredible speed, making even the slightest glancing blow become a gaping wound. Vibroknives were as often tools as they were weapons, useful for scraping the most stubborn of fauna off of starship hulls, and equally useful for gutting pirates.
