Class Features
All the following are class features of the Vermin Acolyte:
- Summon Swarm (Sp)
Can only be used to summon spiders. Use the vermin acolyte's highest-leveled spellcasting class + his vermin acolyte class level as caster level. If his highest-leveled spellcasting class is vermin acolyte, use the second-highest instead of the highest.
- Blindsense (Ex)
At 2nd level, a vermin acolyte gains scent-dependent blindsense 5 ft. This increases to 10 ft. at 9th level.
- Giant Vermin (Sp)
Use the vermin acolyte's highest-leveled spellcasting class + his vermin acolyte class level as caster level. If his highest-leveled spellcasting class is vermin acolyte, use the second-highest instead of the highest.
- Vermin qualities (Ex)
At 4th level, a vermin acolyte begins to take on the physical qualities of a single type of vermin. He gains a bonus to an ability equal to half his class level, and a penalty to another ability score equal to one quarter his class level.
Ant: The vermin acolyte's skin begins to take on a smooth and black quality, and he starts growing stronger. However, he grows less intelligent as he becomes more antlike. He receives a bonus to strength checks and a penalty to intelligence checks. He also receives a +1 bonus to his damage rolls.
Roach: The vermin acolyte's skin begins to harden, and he becomes hardier. However, he also loses some force of personality. He receives a bonus to constitution checks and a penalty to charisma checks. He also receives a +1 bonus to natural armor.
Spider: The vermin acolyte becomes nimbler, but he loses some rationality. He receives a bonus to dexterity checks and a penalty to wisdom checks. He also receives a +1 bonus to attack rolls.

10th | +5 str, -2 inr | +5 con, -2cha | +5 dex, -2 wis |
- Insect plague (Sp)
Use the vermin acolyte's highest-leveled spellcasting class + his vermin acolyte class level as caster level. If his highest-leveled spellcasting class is vermin acolyte, use the second-highest instead of the highest.
- Vermin Companion (Ex)
This functions like the ranger's (not druid's) animal companion ability, except that the vermin acolyte may only choose from a giant worker ant, a giant bee, a monstrous centipede (large, medium, small, or tiny), a monstrous scorpion (medium, small, or tiny), a monstrous spider (medium, small, or tiny), or a giant fire beetle. He cannot select from the alternate lists.
- Vermin Dominion (Sp)
Functions like dominate person, but only affects vermin. Use the vermin acolyte's highest-leveled spellcasting class + his vermin acolyte class level as caster level. If his highest-leveled spellcasting class is vermin acolyte, use the second-highest instead of the highest.
- Creeping Doom (Sp)
Use the vermin acolyte's highest-leveled spellcasting class + his vermin acolyte class level as caster level. If his highest-leveled spellcasting class is vermin acolyte, use the second-highest instead of the highest.
- Vermin Form (Su)
Functions like a druid's wild shape ability, but only works with vermin, rather than animals or elementals.
- Improved Vermin Dominion (Su)
When using vermin dominion, treat it as a dominate person spell that only affects vermin, also acting as if the target and the caster shared a common language. Additionally, whenever vermin are summoned by use of an above ability (other than vermin companion), treat them as under the effects of this ability, at no extra cost.
