Mechromancer edits[edit]

Hello my name is hedied4a11, I am the original creator for the mechromancer class. I would like to talk about some of the edits to the class.

1. The Gravity manipulators are redundant the graft Displacement Pads already gives you the same effect.

2. Thank you for the change to Language Modulator I think this change is well balanced.

3. Can I ask about the change to the amount of grafts allowed? It stands at 7; first for balance so it can be played with the vanilla class' and not feel over powered; second it is separated for the role play aspect in that the majority of humanoids have two legs/arms and one chest/back/head. why do you think it should be changed? I would like to hear an opinion on it :)

4. I like the change to the Active Camouflage but don't want to bind any grafts to levels. I would also have to move it to a casting sub for the back slots. I don't mind this. I currently don't have a player rolling this graft if you do (I'm assuming you have a player using this class) would you be apposed to trying the graft as casting invisibility once per short rest or twice per long rest?

Thanks for having a passion for the class I hope we can work to make it more fun and balanced. Hedied4a11

Mechromancer edits[edit]

It's nice to meet the creator of my favorite class. To answer your questions:
1. I created the Gravity manipulators because I find that the Displacement Pads are too powerful. So I split it in two so that it feels more balanced.
2. I still feel the Language Modulator over powered and think that it should not let you speak or write it, kinda like it's translating it into common for you, and you should have to remake the check after a long rest. Or something like that.
3. I now think that one chest, back and head slot is good hearing your reasoning. But, I like the arms to have 4 because, having played the class myself, I prefer the arm grafts and most races have two arms and two hands.
4. Personally, I like to play the game roguishly when I can, and being able to combo the climb and the invisibility would be nice. I'll try remember the level thing
This is the first time I've used the talk feature on here so if you have any pointers on how to use it better would be much appreciated. Thx :P

Hi it's Hedied4a11

So I am in the middle of reworking another one of my classes but I do agree with a lot of the things you said. I made some changes just now taking a look at the 4 arm thing in particular and literally took what you said as inspiration and decluttered the arm slots by splitting it into 2 arm slots and 2 hand slots. I would love to see what you think. I will be working on casting slots for the other slots as soon as I finish reworking the other class (will be making a unique invisibility slot then) PS: also made a few other changes you will likely see.
