Welcome to D&D Wiki![edit]

Welcome!

Hello OwenLeaf and welcome to D&D Wiki. I hope you have been enjoying D&D Wiki and I hope you have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing it is recommended that you make sure your user preferences match your preferences.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's talk page. If you have a D&D-related question please ask it on DnD Discussions. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be found here. If your question does not fit into one of the above possibilities or you need to contact another user please use their talk page.

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help pages also provide help in areas that have been decided as requiring additional explanation.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. To enable the community to function policies are in effect. Most importantly follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything and do not delete content. Also, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (Signature icon.png). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community and welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Green Dragon (talk) 02:37, 21 November 2014 (MST)

Back in Action?[edit]

Hey, haven't seen an edit from you in some time! Glad to see you're still active! --Kydo (talk) 14:10, 22 October 2016 (MDT)

Yeah, I've mostly been posting on Reddit now. However, I had some unfinished stuff here, and I felt an obligation to work on it. I will try my best to stay active here and post new things as I come up with them. Also, congrats on become an Admin! You deserve it! --OwenLeaf (talk) 14:13, 22 October 2016 (MDT)

Thnax. ReD&Dit is good people. Did you see the topic where SgtLion asked them what they had against D&D Wiki? We've been working on resolving their complaints. Check out the new SRD pages style! --Kydo (talk) 15:28, 22 October 2016 (MDT)

Looks good! Yeah, that was one of their two biggest complaints. The other thing is that the majority of the stuff here isn't balanced. I've tried to advocate for you guys, saying that there is some good stuff among the bad, but to no avail. My personal suggestion would be much more vetting for submissions to ensure balance. Those that aren't are slapped with an Improving Template, and if no steps are taken to improve them within a certain time period, they're removed from the site, but saved somewhere else just in case the original creator raises complaints. That's just my two cents though. --OwenLeaf (talk) 11:38, 23 October 2016 (MDT)

We're working on that too. Not enough people to handle and regulate all of the content and edits. The current idea is that if we solve all of the other problems, more people will stick around, and the balance issue will resolve itself as the growing community regulates itself. Though I'm starting to think that it may be necessary to tell people that the other problems have been resolved in order for that to happen. Anyways, cool stuff, nice to know there's more than a few of us on reddit. --Kydo (talk) 12:00, 23 October 2016 (MDT)

Stormborn Vandalism[edit]

Hey, if you're having problems with people editing the Stormborn page and making it overpowered, you could contact an admin and get them to lock it. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs)‎ . . 10:34, 6 July 2017 (MDT)

That's true, I may consider that. I had plans to add more fluff and flavor in the future so I'm not sure how that would be affected, unfortunately. I'll contact an admin if it continues and see what can be done. --OwenLeaf (talk) 11:06, 6 July 2017 (MDT)
