Bird edits[edit]

Hey, I noticed you've been editing a lot of bird articles and most of the changes aren't realistic. For instance, the Blue Jay (5e Creature) shouldn't have an intelligence of 8, as this puts it on par with a less intelligent human. For reference, look at some of the official creatures, like the 5e SRD:Eagle. Going off of this, the blue jay probably shouldn't have more than a 3 intelligence. --PJammaz (talk) 20:40, 15 June 2020 (MDT)

I did make some unrealistic edits to the peregrine falcon's intelligence at first, but after some people(I think you) made some edits I realized that the intelligence that I put on there was too high, being on par with a dumb human, which I think the peregrine falcon is not as smart as. I like the 3 intelligence better. So actually, thank you for doing that. I think it made me understand the game of D&D slightly better. However, I think I also made some very helpful contributions to that page. Also, with the blue jay, I am not sure you are right. Blue Jays are very smart birds. Blue Jays should definitely have an intelligence higher than 3. So, maybe it is D&D that has that wrong. For example, the official D&D stats for an elephant say it's intelligence is 3. That can't be correct. Elephants are very smart. I would probably put an elephants intelligence at 9 if I was making the stats. Emf (talk) 09:22, 16 June 2020 (MDT)

Sure, those animals are intelligent compared to other animals, but on a scale compared to humans, they are nowhere close. Chimpanzees are one of the smartest animals, but they would only score around a 35 on an IQ test, compared to the human average of 100. An ape has an intelligence of 6, which means that should be the absolute highest intelligence for any animal that exists in the real world. I could see an argument for slightly raising the elephant's intelligence to maybe a 4, but a 9 would make an elephant smarter than my 8 int human fighter. --PJammaz (talk) 14:51, 16 June 2020 (MDT)

I put the Blue Jay intelligence at 5, because I still think it should be higher than 3. Maybe 9 is slightly too high for an elephant, but I think 7 could still be good. That is slightly higher than the 6 that an ape has, and I think that elephants are probably very slightly smarter than apes. Emf (talk) 09:52, 17 June 2020 (MDT)
