Welcome to D&D Wiki![edit]

Welcome!

Hello DM Mana, and welcome to D&D Wiki! I hope you are enjoying D&D Wiki and have been finding the information here useful. Before you start contributing, we recommend you make sure your user preferences match your preferences.

Questions

If you have any questions about a specific page please ask it on that page's talk page. If you have a D&D-related question, you can ask it on DnD Discussions. Everything relating to D&D Wiki's administration can be asked here. If you need to contact another user, please use their talk page.

Formatting

Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help:Portal also provides detailed explanation of information important specifically to this community.

Community

A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I'm sure you will find us friendly. To enable the community to function, a number of policies are in effect. Most importantly, we follow and expect you to follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything. As most work has multiple authors, please do not delete content without following our removal process. When posting a comment on a talk page, please ensure you sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (Signature icon.png). This will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you come to enjoy D&D Wiki and the community. Welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 20:40, 18 August 2022 (MDT)

Hell Storm Spell[edit]

Your spell was not taken down. It was moved to a new page, located at Hell Storm (5e Spell), due to a capitalization issue in the title of the page. If you do not want the spell to be subject to wiki standards, you can move it to your userpage. This page is not your userpage - it is your user talk page. Homebrew should generally not be located on a talk page, and homebrew located on a userpage should be modified so that it is not auto-included in the relevant categories in the main wiki space, such as by removing all Category tags and enclosing it in brackets. I hope this helps. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 18:51, 20 October 2022 (MDT)

Additionally, the removal of a balance template without addressing the issues noted therein is prohibited by wiki standards, and to do so is considered Inappropriate Usage of Maintenance Templates as outlined in Help:Warning Policy. I advise you to read through that page and any other portions of the Help section that may be relevant. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 18:56, 20 October 2022 (MDT)

If you looked at the history of the page you'd see that it was deleted entirely, I had asked the user who deleted it to assist with this issue and to my misfortune, nothing from them or you. It is a simple matter of "New user needs help", so deleting a page with no explanation isn't good community growth (Not saying that was you, it was an unhelpful admin). Thank you for eventually giving help but once the page was remade by me (during the period of silence from both) then it was moved, again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DM Mana (talkcontribs) . tbh I don't really care where on my discussion or user page it goes, I just need some place to put it without causing a fuss. Wasn't trying to make a mess but no communication usually leads to misinterpretation and more problems —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DM Mana (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts.
The page was moved without leaving a redirect. This deletes the page at its old namespace and creates a copy of it with all content and history at the new location. Moving pages leaves a message as part of the deletion of the old page that the page now exists at another location. I also do not see any example of you reaching out to any user, for assistance or otherwise, which would be clearly noted in your user contributions. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 19:14, 20 October 2022 (MDT)

Yes to the first page, but I had created another. The reason why you might not have seen the messages was possibly because I emailed them, and your email was off, and at the time I had no idea how to contact others through the site till you commented here.

So unless there's more I need to know about in regards to these past issues (I'd be happy to discuss at another time since this is very interesting) then I'd say I have no more questions for now and bid you a due and thanks.
