- Formatting
Syntax can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Help:Portal also provides detailed explanation of information important specifically to this community.
- Community
A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I'm sure you will find us friendly. To enable the community to function, a number of policies are in effect. Most importantly, we follow and expect you to follow Wikipedia's guidelines on civility and etiquette when discussing anything. As most work has multiple authors, please do not delete content without following our removal process. When posting a comment on a talk page, please ensure you sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon (

Personal Pages[edit]
Hey Celestial, I saw that you didn't want the Architect (5e Race) to be edited by other users. In almost all cases, all pages you create on the wiki can be changed by anyone at anytime, as this is a wiki, you need to be prepared for other people editing the pages you create. At the bottom of every edit box, including the one I am currently typing this message into, there is a message that says "If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here."
If you are created pages of questionable balance, it is very fair for others to point out the balance issues the pages have as class/race/ect. should be usable in a regular campaign. If you want to create pages for your own personal use and don't want them to be edited by others, I would suggest moving them to your userspace instead, where other users are not allowed to edit, except for administrators to remove content that breaks sitewide rules.
