User talk:BigDunzles/Dunzle (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
This class is meant to be a JOKE. Do not use this class seriously unless your DM allows it. This class is unbalanced on purpose. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BigDunzles (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- That is not a good enough excuse for a page to be unbalanced. Deliberately unbalanced pages are a hazard for any unsuspecting user, who may stumble upon them and assume they are viable, then try to use them in a game. Should they do so, that game will shortly be ruined, because it's never fun to be comparatively useless, which is what all other players will inevitably become in such a situation. Deliberately unbalanced pages also contribute to giving this wiki a bad name, which is something I'd rather prefer not to play into. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 02:52, 5 December 2023 (MST)
- So what do I do then? I legit just made this for fun and don't intend on deleting it. Its clearly a joke page, hell the name is based off of a meme. Plus a lot of things would have to go wrong for a bad gaming experience. A player would have to look through the 2k+ classes on 5e homebrew on this site (which isn't the only homebrew site), find this class, be oblivious to the fact it is based off of a meme, not even look at the class to determine if its unbalanced or not, then they would have to bring it to the DM at session 0 and have the DM look over it. If the DM allows a goofy class like this then why should we stop it? Also there are so many unbalanced classes and races and equipment on this wiki that this feels like nitpicking. If there is some joke category I can somehow put this class into than fine, but i don't intend on deleting it for the reason that some people don't like it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BigDunzles (talk • contribs) . - You misunderstand a number of different things.
- One, you are not responsible for the deletion of pages. It is a process that is completed as part of regular wiki maintenance. If you do not want the page to be deleted, it is generally suggested that you either properly address the concerns mentioned in the deletion template, or else move it to your userpage or a sub-page thereof.
- Two, this is not the only unbalanced page on the wiki. A prospective player finding an unbalanced page is less looking for a needle in a haystack and more, pardon the expression, rolling the dice. By allowing pages to exist in an unbalanced state, we would only be encouraging sloppy and poor-quality homebrew practices, which are quite well entrenched enough already.
- Three, this page is not being singled out. The only thing differentiating this page from other unbalanced pages is that it has been noticed. Were you to bring another unbalanced page to our attention for use as a comparison, we would shortly tag that page with various balance or deletion templates as well.
- Four, you are assuming that both the player player and the GM in question would be experienced enough to realize the page's unsuitability, and, on the player's side of things, choosing to act in good faith and not attempting to play out some form of power fantasy.
- If you would like to request assistance in moving this page to a sub-page, by all means do so. Thank you for your time. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 22:42, 6 December 2023 (MST)

- Well its supposed to be a joke class so I put it under the April fools section as thats the closest thing I could find to a joke section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BigDunzles (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- The April Fools tag is not an immunization against balance templates, and does not excuse unbalanced pages, especially deliberately unbalanced pages. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 22:13, 7 December 2023 (MST)
- It gives a disclaimer that the class may not be suited for normal play, is that not enough? Why are you so dead set on deleting a joke class already in the April fools section? This class is clearly a shitpost, which is why it has that tag in the first place. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BigDunzles (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- 1) I have already given you an alternative to deletion.
2) It is the responsibility of users and, more particularly, administrators of the D&D Wiki to attempt to ensure the cleanliness and quality of the wiki, and all pages thereon.
3) Labeling a page as April Fools does not remove it from the general wiki space, ergo those who may erroneously find and attempt to use the class can and will still do so.
4) April Fools is, as has already been clearly stated, not an excuse for poorly balanced or outright unbalanced content.
I advise that you read through the Help section of the wiki, to better familiarize yourself with its standards. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 23:57, 7 December 2023 (MST)

- Well since im new to this wiki could you inform my on how to move it to my user page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by BigDunzles (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.
- I have taken the liberty of completing the move, and have linked the page on your main userpage. In the future, if you wish for a page to be moved, your options are twofold. For the first method, you must verify your account with an email address, which will then unlock the ability to move pages. Second, you may ask an administrator or other experienced user to move the page for you. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 02:11, 10 December 2023 (MST)
