Copper Piece. Common trade good (coin), 0.01 gp. A copper piece (cp) is usually a coin, but more broadly it can refer to any shape and amount of copper weighing 10 grams (~0.022 pounds). 100 copper pieces are worth 1 gold piece. Up to a thousand coins only count as one item in your bag.
Copper pieces are a contend for for most abundant currency in use today, though historically their value has been less consistent than the more highly regarded gold piece. This small denomination is used by most folk of middle or lower class for small daily purchases, such as food and drink. By contrast, some rich folk see this currency as something not even worth counting.
