Wondrous item, very rare Three white feathers, twisted and knotted together. As an action, you may say a short prayer while clasping the feathers; make a DC 10 Religion check. If you fail, take 2d8 radiant damage. On a success, this item activates for 1d2 minutes, during which your tears glow bright white and weep uncontrollably. While this item is active, you may use a bonus action to fire a beam of light from your eyes at a target you can see; they must make a DC 20 Wisdom save, taking 8d6 radiant damage and becoming blinded on a failed save or half as much damage on a success. Evil-aligned creatures make this roll with disadvantage. You may attempt to activate this item after a day, starting at dawn. You may attempt to activate it again before then, whether or not your first try was successful; doing so increases the religion check DC by +4 for each attempt. If you fail this check, the feathers burst into white flame, dealing 4d6 fire and 2d12 radiant damage to you and destroying the item. |
