From D&D Wiki
4th-level Evocation | |
Casting time: | 1 action |
---|---|
Range: | Self (10-foot radius) |
Components: | S, M (a melee weapon that is under the effects of ‘Sun-Touched Weapon, Variant’) |
Duration: | Concentration, up to 1 minute |
When you use this spell with a weapon, 2 charges of the ‘Sun-Touched Weapon’ will be expended. This spell heals and protects you, replenishing hit points equal to the maximum number on your hit dice on the initial casting. For the duration, you regain a quarter of your hit dice per turn, and all creatures you don’t spare within 10 feet take 2d10 radiant damage if they move into or start their turn inside the radius, undead take double this amount and can’t be spared.
When inside the radius, creatures other than the caster must make a Charisma saving throw at the beginning of their turn. On a fail, the target is blinded by the light, an undead makes the roll at disadvantage and is stunned by the light and cannot move on failure. On a success, the target can move up to 5 ft within the light or fully retreat outside the radius of the light at the cost of half their movement. The target can repeat this saving throw at the beginning of their next turn, a target that has succeeded is immune to the light for this spells duration but must repeat the saving throw for repeated casts.
You can use this spell only if you are in direct contact with a material component. While concentrating, you cannot move, take actions, bonus actions, reactions or cast spells other than concentrating on the spell or ending concentration as an action. If you get hit by an attack, you immediately lose concentration.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the duration increases by one minute at a cost of 2 additional charges per minute. For every two levels over 4th, the radiant damage increases by 2d10.
