Weapon (Longsword), very rare (major) (requires attunement) The Spell Splitter Sword is a blade made of a pure blue crystal of unknown origin. Magic Blade. The Spell-Splitter Sword has a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls. Spell Splitting. Whenever you would take Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, necrotic, poison, or radiant damage from a spell, you may use your reaction to make an attack roll versus the caster's spell save DC, taking no damage on a success. On a failed roll, you take half damage, and each creature within 5 feet of you also takes that much damage. Crystalline Absorption. Whenever you use the spell-splitter sword's Spell Splitting feature to negate incoming damage, it deals an additional 1d4 damage of that type to any target it hits. This extra damage wears away daily at dawn. |
