The Pitcher (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Wondrous Item, uncommon (requires attunement) A common leather glove, somewhat haggard looking from years of use. Strangely enough, when the fingertips are rubbed together chalk dust seems to magically appear. The Pitcher will tense upon the users hand when in proximity to the magical weapon, the batter. Rumored to have been created for an ancient game in the long passed Netherese empire, called batball, or fortressball, or baseball. The exact details are hazy. Once attuned, this leather glove grants the user the ability to effectively cast a version of the spell catapult at level 1. As an action, the user involuntarily spits, then choose one object weighing 1 to 5 pounds within range that isn’t being worn or carried. The object flies in a straight line up to 90 feet in a direction you choose before falling to the ground, stopping early if it impacts against a solid surface. If the object would strike a creature, that creature must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC: 8 + your Dexterity modifier). On a failed save, the object strikes the target and stops moving. In either case, both the object and the creature or solid surface take 3d8 bludgeoning damage. |
