Does anybody know why the class index disappears from the top of the page if another template is referenced on the page and why the creature template leaves a blank space underneath it when used --Silverking (talk) 19:16, 7 October 2022 (MDT)

I believe you can use the creature template on a class page by placing <onlyinclude> and </onlyinclude> before and after the creature template. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 01:12, 8 October 2022 (MDT)
I tried it on the 5e Nekomancer class https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Nekomancer_(5e_Class) but I still couldn't get the table of contents back or get ride of the excess space at the bottom of each creature section--Silverking (talk) 01:47, 8 October 2022 (MDT)
For the table, I can direct you to Help:Editing#More_Complex_Stuff, the bit you want should be right there under Table Of Contents. I do highly recommend that all users read through the Help section in its entirety, at least once. As for the excess space, let me try my hand at it and see if I can tell what's going on. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 07:12, 8 October 2022 (MDT)
Upon further review, it appears that the space beneath the creature templates is itself part of the templates, so you'd have to get in touch with whoever programmed that if you want it removed. Personally I don't see it as being too terribly problematic, I doubt I would've noticed it if attention hadn't been called to it. --Nuke The Earth (talk) 07:18, 8 October 2022 (MDT)
Thank you for the help. I realized that the standard Creature template suppresses the table of contents so I edited my version of the creature template to not suppress it and it worked. I still cant get rid of the space at the bottom but you are right that it is not noticeable enough for me to put too much more time into--Silverking (talk) 00:27, 9 October 2022 (MDT)

I saw that the template was Blanked yesterday and I was wondering to what reason it was done. I don't know exactly how much this template is in use but I do know that it is in use and its removal would mess up all the classes that use it. I also can't think of a way that this template's existence hinders anyone's creative endeavors on this wiki--Silverking (talk) 12:29, 2 December 2022 (MST)

Based on that user's activity, I assume they had trouble with one page and thought this was the cause. It wasn't, and that problem's resolved now. Shouldn't be anything to worry about. --SwankyPants (talk) 12:35, 2 December 2022 (MST)

This page appears on 5e Templates despite not being one. What is this for anyway? SirSprinkles (talk) 21:48, 11 August 2023 (MDT)

This is an altered version of the 5e creature template that allows for better formatting of a creature's stat block within a class page. I don't know why it is on the 5e Templates page I did not put it there but I have used it in the 5e Nekomancer class and it has worked fine there.--Silverking (talk) 00:07, 22 August 2023 (MDT)
