Wondrous item, rarity varies

A 2 to 3-foot-tall tea plant of varying light and dark grey/green scale like fungus that is shot through with veins of red, blue, white glowing veins. its main body is rounded egg shape that narrows slightly toward the top before branching into 5 stalks. each stalk is topped with 3 to 4 blossoms shaped like dragon snappers, only each blossom is around 3 inches in size. Each branch of blossoms is a different color, that match the 5 heads of Tiamat: red, blue, green, white, and black.

Once the tea plant is fully grown, it feeds off ambient magic in the air around it. this magic os channeled into the 5 blossom clusters that glow once fully grown, thus allowing a tea made from the blossoms to have a special effect. This glow will remain in the clusters until one color is plucked, then the other four colors will stop glowing to show that they no longer have an effect. Also, the remaining four blossom clusters will last two hours after the first cluster is plucked, then they will fall off to make room for a new cluster of buds on each stalk that will bloom in 24 hours, or 12 hours if someone takes an hour to channel a spell slot worth of magic into the plant.

Once the magical tea is prepared, it can be stored in a flask to be consumed at a later time. However, after 24 hours the tea will lose its mystic ability, but the flavor associated with each color will remain. Also, each non magical blossom can be dried with tools from a herbalism kit or alchemists kit, allowing the non-magical variants to be brewed at any time.

Each of the flowers have a specific flavor and effect associated with its specific color. At uncommon variety, the tea will give you resistance to the damage of the associated color for 24 hours.

The rare variety will give the same 24-hour resistance but will also allow you to use the full magic of the tea to reroll one attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw. You can only do this before an outcome is confirmed and you must choose which roll can be used. Once the reroll is used, the effect of the magical tea ends until a new batch is made.

For the Very rare variety, you get the resistance for 24 hours as well as the option to use the full magic of the tea for a reroll or the use of a breath weapon for the associated color. Once the reroll or breath weapon is used, the effect of the magical tea ends until a new batch is made.

  • The Legendary variety of this tea will give you the 24 hours of resistance; will allow you to reroll one attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw; and use one breath weapon attack within the 24-hour period.

  • The white flower will make a glittering snow-white tea that seems to catch any light in its depths and will have cleansing minty flavor. The breath weapon of this tea is a 15-foot cone originating from the drinker and deals 6d6 cold damage.
  • The black flower will make a dark tea with a subtle shimmer on the surface and have the sharp bite of a highly caffeinated black tea. The breath weapon of this tea is a 30-foot long, 5 feet wide line originating from the drinker and deals 6d6 acid damage.
