Talonsbane, Source

Weapon (footwear), rare (requires attunement)

An enchanted pair of leather shoes that would be very comfortable to wear if it weren't for the giant metal blades protruding from each toe. These shoes were designed a very long time ago to enhance the use of talons as weapons of defense. In the Elemental Plane of Air, aarakocra soldiers are commonly seen with this dangerous footwear.

Strange Fit. This magic weapon is treated as a weapon worn on the feet. However, attacks with your Talons are still treated as unarmed strikes and creatures that wear the Talonsbane are still treated as being barefoot. This weapon can also only be worn by creatures that have talons instead of normal humanoid feet.

Raptor's Grasp. While you are wearing the Talonsbane, unarmed strikes with your Talons deal 2d6 slashing damage. This damage is treated as magical damage. In addition, the attack and damage rolls for your unarmed strikes with Talons are calculated with your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier. You cannot attack with your Talons more than 3 times per turn while wearing Talonsbane.

Blinding Strike. If you make an unarmed strike with your Talons, as a bonus action you can also choose to not apply the extra damage from Raptor's Grasp. If you do so, you can choose to have the creature you hit with an unarmed strike make a Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of their next turn. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier.
