Simple Weapons Only?[edit]

Hey, just a bit curious about armor/weapon proficiency. Every class gives like 1-2 tiers, never in the same type, so everyone is stuck with light armor/simple weapons. This is especially a problem for the knight, which has a bonus from shields, which it either doesn't benefit from, or loses that shot at armor. Looking through the material, nothing else gives proficiency tiers. What's up with that? --SwankyPants (talk) 12:34, 8 February 2021 (MST)

Certain background tiers give additional armor or weapon tiers, and I haven't decided on adding a feat that allows one to gain tiers. I will admit that the current selection of backgrounds is a bit lacking, however. --Ref3rence (talk) 12:56, 8 February 2021 (MST)
Ah, must've just missed that. My bad. Since I've got you here now, why are young adults less intelligent than youth? --SwankyPants (talk) 13:07, 8 February 2021 (MST)
Honestly, that decision was kinda made by default to mirror aging from Aging to Venerable. I dislike the current early development side just as much as you, so if you have any better idea, I implore you to change it in whatever way you see fit. --Ref3rence (talk) 13:23, 8 February 2021 (MST)
