Talk:Tank (5e Class)

Edit Problems[edit]
Since I'm not much interested in communicating via edit summaries, I'm coming here.
"Listen, I’m trying to remove a lot of the heavy weapon reliance. The class is meant to tank hits for the most part and have high AC or HP. One of the subclasses might even deal with Resistances."
Initially, they didn't rely on heavy weapons. That's what the weapon proficiencies were for, but now they do rely on unarmed strikes because that's all they have, and it can't be circumvented because everything is being changed to unarmed attacks.
Also, I'm aware what the class is for. It doesn't need a d20 hitdie for anything like that! Barbarians already reach into the 200s at high levels, and that's more than enough. This reaches the 300s.
Another issue with the current version is Defensive Reactions. The hit bonus reduction is bonkers, as by 5th or so level you can turn a +7 into nothing, completely screwing with bounded accuracy.
The class was fine. Why do this? --SwankyPants (talk) 11:02, 19 February 2021 (MST)
The class was pre-generated. Or someone had made something in the past with the same concept, I don’t know if the site functions like that. Nonetheless have the class your way, I’m thinking about moving this to Homebrewery anyway. —Firerealms13yk (talk) 11:11, 19 February 2021 (MST)
- Okay, now I'm curious. Pre-generated? Every page here is user made, the site doesn't just pop them into existence. I suppose someone certainly could've done something like this before, it is in no way a niche concept. Good luck with homebrewery then. --SwankyPants (talk) 11:17, 19 February 2021 (MST)
