Changes in the Warrior/Tank Class[edit]

I made some changes in this class, based on the work made by the creator. The class didn't had much of a personality, but some of the features, like learning to operate siege weapons, using "greek fire" and the ability to withstand lack of food and water, make a lot of sense for a martial class specialized in war, and specifically in enduring sieges. So, i changed the features enough to make them fit the theme i came up for this class.

Basically all features, except one, are still present in a way or another, in this class, i just changed the order they appear and a bit of the way they work, trying to balance a bit.

I'll make further changes in this class in the future ´ Anastacio (talk) 00:14, 28 September 2020 (MDT)

That's completely fine this is the first class I made and I went with a Tank Fighter in war and you Anastacio helped a lot with making the class and to help balance it out give it more flavor other then it being flat. AppleMan2432 but the war path features need more because you said you get a new feature once every other level should I add more ideas to the war paths

I agree about the war path, they need to be explored further. That's why i moved some features you created for the class to the war paths, because i thought would fit better a subclass than the core class. I have some ideas that i'll put in there later too, if that's not a problem. Anastacio (talk) 10:12, 28 September 2020 (MDT)

The "Outlast" feature is too powerful. No one should be immune to exhaustion. Anastacio (talk) 10:22, 28 September 2020 (MDT)

Okay so I'll get rid of that and I didn't know that the shove and bash had its own actions sorry. I'm still roughly new to end and I just love homebrew this is the first homebrew thing I've worked on.AppleMan2432(talk)

There's no problem man, just trying to help, this class is a very good idea for your first brew! Brewing is a thing you learn more the more you do! That's why if i see something that i have a issue with, i am talking to you about it. Anastacio (talk) 12:06, 28 September 2020 (MDT)
Anas here has brought this to the attention of the Discord community, so now I am here as well. Always good to have more content creators! This is a good first homebrew so far, just needs a lot of polishing. :) IntellectMaster (talk) 17:03, 28 September 2020 (MDT)

I have a serious problem can you do a stance with a master of the shield AppleMan2432(talk)

Well, you can use "Turtling" with "Stone Stance", and all of them with "Sentinel Stance" (but not on the same turn). You can use all of them with moon stance too, but i believe it should cost an action or bonus action to assume or drop the stances. I'll try to correct that Anastacio (talk) 21:47, 28 September 2020 (MDT)

Okay I just didn't know if we should or shouldn't thank you so much AppleMan2432(talk)

No problem, i'm happy to work on this class with you. So, what i did: The "turtling" is the first stance you gain, with the "Master of the Shield" feature. So, i turned every stance into an "upgrade" of the turtling. Like, with the stone stance, your turtling is more solid and defensive; with the sentinel stance, your turtling is better to protect allies and hold enemies; and with the moon stance, your turtling is more mobile. I think this make the feature cool, because now you have a comeback to the 1st level feature, and have more "synergy" in the class.Anastacio (talk) 22:19, 28 September 2020 (MTD)

okay thank you that helps a lot and it makes a lot of sense uh and with band of brothers seems a bit to much I get what it's for but it seems a bit much for different campaigns or something and what is Stronghold Guardian in the table.AppleMan2432(talk)

Oh, it was a mistake. "Stronghold Guardian" was the first name i came up for the "Band of Brothers" feature. If you think it is overpowered or if you don't think it makes sense, i can remove it, or maybe change it to make it more general, to fit better any campaign. What do you think about that? Anastacio (talk) 23:10, 28 September 2020 (MDT)

I think we could try to change it up and try to fix it because I feel like it's a bit to broken because you canake a fortress in 24 hours and get bodyguards and more but I would like to see what you do with itAppleMan2432(talk) 8:52, 29 September 2020 (MTD)

See what you think now. I reduced the duration of the invocation of the soldiers, and if they die, you can't use the feature for some time. Also, i reduced one of the progressions, and this feature only improves at 9th and 13th level.

Since you can only invoke these soldiers in some specific places, this is less useful than a 3rd level spell, but can be circumstantially useful, and fit the theme of the character in my opinion.

Also, i added some features to the subclasses. Anastacio (talk) 16:32, 29 September 2020 (MDT)
