Talk:Rifleman (3.5e Class)

Suggestions[edit]
Once again, I'm willing to hear criticism and get advice from more experienced gamers. -- Cronocke 16:42, 29 December 2007 (MST)
- I don't know if I could call myself a more experienced gamer, but I feel that the wording of the covering fire ability could be improved. To me it currently sounds strange, saying one can expand a move action, not that one has to expand a move action to make this ability come into effect. Just my thoughts. --Green Dragon 16:08, 5 January 2008 (MST)
- Looks good to me. I'm no good at rating yet, though I sense no major goofs. I'll eventually run an NPC in a campaign I'm doing as a Rifleman to test it out, I'll let you know the results when it happens. -- Eiji 16:21, 5 January 2008 (MST)
- I've clarified the Covering Fire ability - it only works if the move action has been expended. -- Cronocke 17:38, 5 January 2008 (MST)
- Looks better, thanks for doing that. --Green Dragon 18:16, 5 January 2008 (MST)
- I'm curious about how flanking fire works, does it work in picture 1, and what about picture 2? X is the flanked enemy,Y is the ally, and Z is you with Flanking fire and a gun/ranged weapon. Master K 18:33, 30 November 2008 (MST)
Skills[edit]
Can you have a look at the skill set of the Rifleman? At level 4 you get to add 1/2 character level to spot, search, and listen, yet listen isn't a class skill. Is that just an omission in the skill list, should listen not be included in that class ability, or are we giving a bonus to a cross-class skill? (The last option seems the least likely). Also, the way I would play a rifleman I would want skills like Tumble (which is not a class skill). Is the skill list a complete list, under-going changes, or what?--Badger 15:47, 15 September 2009 (MDT)
