Talk:Oath of the Deep (5e Subclass)

"Holy" is not a damage type. You probably mean radiant. SirSprinkles (talk) 23:44, 11 October 2017 (MDT)
Needsbalance Ideas[edit]
I don't understand why Channel the Deep cannot be Channel Divinity options? Can it be agreed this happens along with some balancing of the CD options?
I don't see much issue with including necromancy spells as part of their list but I understand that this conflicts with precedent. I think it would be okay if the oath spells were necromancy spells. Would that help make everyone happy?
The only issue I see with Avatar of the Void is the extra 1d12 per attack. I'd much rather see this as a once per round feature. ~ BigShotFancyMan (talk) 11:25, 19 October 2018 (MDT)
Shouldn't this subclass receive some kind of bonus to swim checks or holding their breath? It feels like they should receive some low-level benefits that let them hold their breath for longer and move better while in water. Maybe even they don't suffer a disadvantage when making underwater attacks or something like that. Other than that, great work so far. The Wizened Throne (talk)
- Hey Guy, thanks for taking a look! I added the ability to breath underwater with the channel divinity. Anastacio (talk) 17:08, 10 September 2020 (MDT)
Anastacio (talk): The "Channel the Deep" ability is gone in my edit, and now "Avatar of the Void" extra necrotic damage only happen once per round and in a very specific condition.
- cool. You'll see I put request review on the page. Hopefully some others decide to check it out, or me when or if I remember. Red Leg Leo (talk) 10:37, 4 May 2020 (MDT)
