Talk:Nun's Habit (5e Equipment)

A Nun's habit is normally just a variation of robes, unless this is some sort of monster or demon hunting habit with hidden armor or weapons holsters somewhere this isn't the right place for this... Although, that would be a cool addition for a gothic or monster hunting campaign... --Gl17cHw3rk5 (talk) 18:20, 25 March 2024 (MDT)

How about that? - Guy 19:18, 25 March 2024 (MDT)
It is probably the simplicity of the name that makes it a bit surprising to be a magic item. The way this sounds, all nuns have magic clothes? Still, I could see this in something like the World of Darkness setting. In DnD it's a little weirder because many base members in a clergy don't really have much of any magic or magic items (unless it's a really magic-saturated setting). But the effects are nice and I like the tying in of the faith. You theoretically could reskin this to be a number of magic robes for many levels of clergy.--Yanied (talk) 19:27, 25 March 2024 (MDT)
I thought of it more as anyone powerful and faithful enough to be a cleric or paladin brings out the magic within clothes that seem normal to other people. Sort of like how clerics can make holy water.
For the advantage, I think anyone wearing a nun outfit and pulling it off would have advantage on influencing the faithful. That part isn't meant to be (very) magical.
But anyway I'm glad you like it. ( 'v') - Guy 19:55, 25 March 2024 (MDT)

Wondrous Item[edit]

I think the habit should be classified as a wondrous item because the robe of the archmagi grants a bonus to AC and is classified as a wondrous item. SirSprinkles (talk) 17:32, 3 April 2024 (MDT)
