Abuse[edit]

"Once per gaming session" is a bit vague, and open to abuse- it might work better as a once-per-encounter thing. MorkaisChosen 08:51, 24 December 2007 (MST)

Thanks for the take of interest. I'll come up with something to fix it of abuse. BTW, thanks for keeping an eye out on my contributions, I hope that are well balanced. :D --Penske 13:51, 24 December 2007 (MST)
Edited a bit - I dont see why your ability to fight would be hampered by laying an enemy low and you dont even have to do anything to help them. Your just going to stop fighting and watch them bleed to death? I made it so they would have to at least use a heal/etc check to aid them stabilize. Also, some situations its outright -stupid- to try to stabilize or help them. You didnt say humanoid or animals, so... what? Your going to be merciful to gibbering mouthers, or merciful to a enemy soldier in a massive combat of 10+ enemys where stopping to aid them would likely put more people in risk from your absence, and thus make your 'mercy' completely irrelevent? So I added the bonuses on the saving throw for conditions. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.243.213.95 (talkcontribs) 19:42, 18 September 2009 (MDT). Please sign your posts.
Yes, of course I am going to be merciful to gibbering mouthers! (And I am probably not even going to attempt the will save) --Zzo38 23:43, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

It ought to apply even if your character is not the one doing the attacking. And possibly even if none of your party is even trying or wanting to attack them. --Zzo38 06:03, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

Yet another flaw that enforces behaviour and uses a Will save. I've changed it to a shaken condition that lasts until a stabilize attempt is made (it doesn't matter who does it.) I've also restricted the kind of creatures that trigger this, because as Zzo38 pointed out... no-one is going to be merciful towards gibbering mouthers. Preresq-whatever that thing is[edit]

I think this flaw should have a non-evil preres-requirement.

Why? Marasmusine (talk) 03:05, 26 November 2015 (MST)
