Talk:Masks of Forms (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

If people have other ideas for masks, feel free to add them, I pretty much just added the basic races and a few legendary additions. The only stipulation is that the resulting forms would have to be humanoid. Lemiel14n3 (talk) 00:23, 15 December 2014 (MST)

I would add a sidenote suggesting a DM not give a mask of forms for a race that is already in the party. If I was the only dwarf in the party, I'd be pretty annoyed if someone else suddenly had all the dwarfy things that made me unique. Marasmusine (talk) 05:29, 20 January 2015 (MST)
But there could be situational advantages to this, say you're trying to talk to racist dwarves and they won't allow non-dwarves in their space. I wanted these to be more than just a simple alter/disguise self and you'll still have your class and personality traits and not much reason for wearing one of these masks to be anything more than temporary. After all, if you really wanted to play a dwarf, you'd have rolled up a dwarf. Lemiel14n3 (talk) 10:19, 20 January 2015 (MST)
Fair enough! Marasmusine (talk) 01:38, 2 February 2015 (MST)

Article Spotlight[edit]

This page created just over 5 years ago by Lemiel14n3 is a simple way for a character to play as a different race. I like that there is an option to add more races to the page as well. Unfortunately, I don't find there to be a lot to discuss since it basically copies the playable races which everyone is already familiar with. The description details transforming being a traumatic experience but isn't represented mechanically; not necessarily a bad thing but something to note. Overall I think it something fair and could be fun for a party. Red Leg Leo (talk) 18:59, 5 February 2020 (MST)
