This would be amazing if it had a clasd that opperated like the RA ranger not the d&d ranger to play with it. Bloodreaper54 (talk) 21:12, 28 December 2016 (MST)
- It does have a class like that, because there is nothing stopping you from just using that class ! :) --Kydo (talk) 06:00, 29 December 2016 (MST)
- What did they name it all i saw when scrolling for it was Ranger non magic variant Bloodreaper54 (talk) 06:05, 29 December 2016 (MST)
- I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here. I assumed it was a typo and you were talking about the UA Revised Ranger. If that isn't what you're talking about, then I have no idea what RA stands for. If what you're looking for doesn't exist in official or homebrew content yet, you can always just make it yourself! In any case, as a background, you can use this in any combination with one race and one class. Of course, what materials are actually available for play are entirely at the DM's discretion, but if they allow it, then it's playable. --Kydo (talk) 07:12, 29 December 2016 (MST)
- RA is Rangers Apprentice a book series where this background was based but sadly the fact they can fir 1-3 arrows a second makes them hard to balance Bloodreaper54 (talk) 07:14, 29 December 2016 (MST)
- You could just play a Slayer ranger and take Volley. SirSprinkles (talk) 23:09, 10 January 2017 (MST)

Marasmusine- the back ground is centered on a specific entitiy from the rangers apprentice books. The proficentcies are only theres do to extensive training required. Haveibg no class while alittle less fun removes the opness of the kings ranger. Theyre not soliders but scouts woth unique abilities and training. Bloodreaper54 (talk)
- I have changed the template in question to {{Design Disclaimer}} based off this discussion. --Green Dragon (talk) 10:26, 22 January 2017 (MST)
- I'm not sure if that justifies the weapon proficiencies. The soldier background gets along quite fine without them (its description even mentions "you've studied the use of weapons and armor"). I'm going to try something a bit different. Marasmusine (talk) 20:01, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
When it comes to the equipment this background offers I think it should offer the camouflage cloak(no special effect) and the brooch(Once again, no real effect). Maybe the pony but honestly I'm worried about how the balance behind that might work. Any other equipment here should be more class based, we don't want wizards with a bunch of Ranger weapons and a horse. -Ponyboy547(I was accidentally logged out when writing this)
